About The Event
We have exciting news about the Make It Ok Campaign, training will be in Hamburg and Shenandoah on April 7th. The Iowa Healthiest State Initiative has taken on the Make It Ok Campaign to help combat the stigma associated with mental illness and seeking help. If you are unfamiliar with Make It Ok, check out their website makeitok.org or http://www.iowahealthieststate.com
Fighting stigma fits well into the mission of NAMI Southwest Iowa, The MHDS region and most agencies that serve our population. The training is free and all are welcome. They do ask that those interested register ahead of time to help get a head count and the class maxes out at 40 people. Folks interested in attending can search Facebook events under “Make It Ok Ambassador Training: Hamburg/Shenandoah” or go to http://www.iowahealthieststate.com/resources/individuals/makeitok/ambassador/
Shenandoah April 7th 9AM-11AM at The Shenandoah Medical Center
Hamburg April 7th 1PM-3PM at George C. Grape Community Hospital
